Sly 61

Sly Marine is a young and dynamic italian shipyard: established in 2005 in Cesena by a group of professionals from different fields, united by a love of sailing, which for some was already their profession, and a desire to offer something new to the market. Careful for innovation and design they immediately showed clear-cut ideas: to create a new kind of sailing yacht, able to combine the thrill of speed with the pure comfort of cruising, and with particular care for design.

Sly builds sailing yachts, conceived by the know-how of Studio Lostuzzi Yacht Design & Engineering, which is in the forefront in designing efficient and elegant sailing boats with the best performances both in cruise and in regatta.

Sly sailboats are in fact produced using state-of-the-art solutions and materials, their research and development geared not only towards performance, but also to safety and comfort. The use of glass fibre and carbon fibre sandwiched with epoxy resins, together with use of the vacuum bag process and follow-up care, ensure a quality that is more lightweight, more rigid, has less torsion and offer greater reliability and durability guarantees in the long term. This kind of construction, together with excellent weight distribution (43% of the overall weight of the craft is concentrated in the lead fin and bulb offering an improved righting arm), better facilitates glide and manoeuvre in both motorboat and sailboat versions and improved wave cutting, also in strong winds and fully risen seas. The mast, boom and rudder shaft in carbon favour reduced pitch and list.

Careful structural studies and deepened tests in tank define innovative and effective water lines both in performance and navigation. They guarantee simplicity of manoeuvre and assure wave passage and rout stability.

The attention towards ergonomy of use reaches excellence levels in design and interior fittings, aiming the satisfaction of the most demanding shipowner. Above all it is directed to guarantee elevated comfort and use security in navigation.

Features:

Sly has laid down a new challenge for the yachting industry, proving its grit and desire to continue pushing the envelope: the result is Sly 61.

Features
The key new feature is the innovative new deck layout compared with previous versions: indeed, the sailing yacht profile stands out for the stylish raised saloon which has an even more commanding presence thanks to the seamless deckhouse window. This is a high-impact visual feature, especially from the inside as it floods the area with light and provides an excellent view of the outside.
At the heart of the project however are the luxurious fittings. Alongside the high-tech features supplied as standard (wide sail plan, high-performing efficient extensions and wide use of carbon throughout the construction), In construction terms.
The sailboat has all the same quality features as the rest of the range. The hull and deck are in recessed mould sandwich with glass and carbon fibre surfacing and a PVC and epoxy resin frame. And there's more. Sly 61 will also have a retracting fin with displacement reduced from 3.8m to 2.3m.

Interiors
The interiors have also been redesigned with many new features, including the raised saloon which focuses the emphasis on the saloon itself and the living areas within, and a separate dinette area. The main cabin and twin guest cabins are spacious and feature a private bathroom. There is also a dedicated space for two crew members to ensure easy, open-sea cruising.

Exteriors
The utmost in living comfort is ensured by a deck layout that combines navigation time with relaxation: electrical fittings, clean manoeuvring with ropes returning below the deck, ample cockpit seating and shaded areas created by the bimini top, not to mention sundecks and a foldaway sunbed on the prow.
